A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Camilla moved with her family to Florida in 1995. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2008. After graduating, Camilla joined Teach for America and taught high school economics and history in Harlem, New York. While working for the New York City Department of Education, Camilla also earned a master’s degree in secondary education from Fordham University.

In 2013, Camilla graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She was a member of the Florida Law Review, the Jessup International Moot Court Team and a teaching assistant for legal research, writing, and appellate advocacy.
