Jason Mazer, born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1994 and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from Washington University School of law in 1998. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Mazer concentrates his appellate and trial practice in the areas of Insurance Litigation, Insurance Bad-Faith, Unfair Insurance Practices and Employment law. He has written extensively, and frequently lectures, on these subjects.
While still in law school, Mr. Mazer served as a volunteer in the Employment Discrimination Section of the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, prosecuting pattern or practice employment discrimination cases. As an associate with the Miami office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, he represented management in labor and employment disputes. Mr. Mazer now concentrates on complex civil matters involving the representation of individual and corporate policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes and civil rights plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases. Mr. Mazer practices in both state and federal court and has considerable appellate experience.
