In U.S., millions grapple with insurance, healthcare problems

Mon Jul 15th, 2013 on     Health Insurance,

Health insurance is one of the biggest topics in politics today.

It is fair to say that everyone wishes everybody in the U.S. had healthcare coverage, but views as to how (or, indeed, whether) this can be accomplished vary widely.

One thing that is clear is that the system as it exists now is not really working.

In 2012, some 54 million Americans had trouble of some kind paying medical bills, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Commonwealth Fund estimates that about 20 percent of U.S. adults were contacted by a collections agency about medical bills last year.

Those numbers are just a snapshot of the current situation. Even people who have health insurance often struggle to understand their policies, get their health insurance company to pay up or otherwise manage their healthcare coverage. Sometimes, health insurance is not the end of a problem, but rather the start of one.

In such situations, many people in Florida often feel like they are adrift or alone, like David fighting Goliath without any assistance. It is easy to feel like giving p entirely. We want to let those people know that if they want it, help dealing with health insurance companies is available.

We have devoted a portion of our practice to dealing with health insurance matters, so we have accumulated experience that is helpful and worthwhile. That experience helps us assist people who have been getting nowhere as they try to deal with their health insurance companies on their own.
